Need help finding and buying photos from the 2013 Kokoda Challenge?  Follow this simple step-by-step guide.

Step 1 - Find your photos

Use the event code and add your team number to find your photos via the Search function.  For example;

KC13- + 3 digit team number for the Kokoda Challenge event (e.g. KC13-041 for team 41)

KC13-SB + 3 digit team number for the Stan Bisset Cup (e.g. KC13-SB025 for team 25)

KC13-JS + 3 digit team number for the Jim Stillman (e.g. KC13-JS115 for team 115)

KC13-KK will return all Kokoda Kids images

DO NOT use spaces or individual letters (a, b, c, d etc), and ensure you select the 'Photos' tab in the results pane;

Note: There is a high proportion of missing and obscured bib numbers throughout the event...if a search yields no results you can still browse each sub-gallery which are broken up by location and sorted chronologically.

Step 2 - Add your selected images to cart and choose a format

Choosing which product to select should start with the question; "what am I going to use the image for?"  Answering that is half the battle, the rest is simply down to your preferences and budget.  Read on for a detailed description of each product.

Digital Options

Small JPEG:  This format is the cheapest option available and is perfect for those who want a budget momento to post online as a small profile pic, or view on their phone/tablet.  At 800x600 pixels it will fill roughly 25% of a modern computer monitor and will not support printing.

Medium JPEG:  This format offers a cost effective option for those who want a larger view (approx full screen) to view online and make their own small prints.  At 1200x800 pixels it will nearly fill most computer monitors, and supports printing to 4x6 inches.

Large JPEG:  This format is for those who want a high res original file to make their own large prints (up to A3 size and often beyond, depending on cropping) and various other products such as banners, canvases etc.  Akin to 'buying the negative' from the days of film, this product is the most expensive but is the perfect option for teams who want to create their own multiple prints of the same image(s) for multiple team members.

Prints

Prints are perfect for those who want something ready-to-frame so they can hang it on the wall without any of the hassle of printing.  SOK Images offers the following print sizes

  • 5 x 7 inches - traditional format that will require slight cropping of the original file*
  • 8 x 10 inches - traditional format that will require more aggressive cropping of the original file*
  • 8 x 12 inches - modern format to fix the aspect ratio of original files

*Customers are able to set their own cropping when selecting these formats
